A Bard – a pantoum

If I were a bard,
I’d stroll down a lane.
But it’s not in the cards
cause I look kind of plain.

I would stroll down a lane
with my Jack Russell dog
cause I look kind of plain
in a robe made of fog.

With my Jack Russell dog
men would stay far away.
In a robe made of fog
I look kind of gray.

Men would stay far away
from a stern, strident voice.
I look kind of gray
though my lipstick is moist.

With a stern strident voice
it is not in the cards,
though my lipstick is moist,
if I were a bard.
